I have come to the conclusion that the Fuelly app/website is bollocks! I have ensured I have it set up properly with correct country and unit of measure (i.e. I'm not using US gallons) and my car is achieving on average 20.2 mpg with a best of 27.7 mpg.
My previous car was much more frugal but that too according to Fuelly only managed an average of 32.3 mpg with a best of 46 mpg.
My own records (I am quite anal about keeping records) work out that my current car is doing mid-late 20s with a best of 38.8 and my previous car, over 5 years averaged 39 mpg with a best approaching 60 mpg.
Why is Fuelly giving me rubbish stats? If anyone else uses it I'd be interested to learn whether you find it accurate or equally as bollocks as I do.

Never allow it to track my location, but I enter the data, mileage and price/volume of fuel, as it asks and out pops a figure that seems to have been plucked out of thin air.
