I had one of the very first CV Tele's Pine body etc etc and the pickups in that are very good indeed, those seem to be like Rocking Horse Droppings these days

I was going to say something along the lines of "over 400 quid for a Chinese Squier?  You can get a real Jap or USA Fender for not much more used!"  But I have to say that looks lovely, identical cosmetically to my Jap reissue, so perhaps I should be less brand-ist.

The biggest issue cosmetically with the CV 62 Tele is the very white binding, it's a shame as they are great little guitars and this makes them look very cheap and cheerful imho

I was equally cynical until I tried it, the neck fits me like a glove and the photo doesn't actually quite do it justice, its very pretty indeed.

    Just like mine! Nice one!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Isnt Pine a soft wood? I would of thought a soft wood for a guitar wouldn't be a great idea?

The very first Broadcaster and prototype Tele's had pine bodies as did the first lot of CV50 Telecasters, if they still do, I'm not sure.

Pine is a great wood for Teles - combined with the thick sound from an early Tele pickup (the SD Broadcaster is a rough approximation) they absolutely sing.

I dropped a PRS Dragon pickup in the neck of mine, sounds huge along with the standard Tele pickup
