Ear conditioning (how to make your amp sound great!)

I've been ampless for about 2-3 months now. I have been playing through a toy since December (Fender Mini Twin Reverb).

Before I headed out to my local music store, I played through this my pedals and the fender. I love my distorted tone and the clean isn't something to turn your nose up to either. I don't know why I thought it was so shit when I first got it.

I brought my pedals to the store, and plugged into a JCM900 Combo, and then I remembered why I hated the mini twin reverb.
