Vintage Roland JC120 + noisegate

Hi all

I've got a late 70s JC120 that is lovely except when the chorus is on there is a slight fizz that kicks in as the note is decaying. You can't hear it you play above room volume but I also like using it at home as it's so lush.

An amp tech recently had a look and said it's a really early design with an inbuilt noise gate and the noise I hear is the noise gate turning off slightly too early. He actually said it's one of the best ones he's heard as most of them have a permanent louder hiss (I've never played another vintage one so wouldn't know)

Anyway I just wondered if I put a noisegate in the effects loop would it help ?  I've never used an FX loop before or a noisegate for that matter so was hoping someone may have tried something similar and can vouch for it !

EDIT - ignore this guys, I turned the beast around last night and there isn't an FX loop anyway so looks like I'll have to turn it up !

Thanks vm
