Hampshire. Garden is filling up with small branches off the ash tree. Fingers crossed we don't lose any tiles. How's it with you?

Surrey. Had a massive cloudburst at 8am, lasted all of five minutes. It's been windy but sunny ever since.

Cambridgeshire is windy but not too much damage, apparently a tree went down on the A6 which doesn't sound much fun

  • West London - debris on the A40, wind blowing along the high st in Harrow, shop doors slamming, stuff falling over... Watched a shop's A-board get blown aaaall the way down the street without actually falling over.

  • Just been chasing bins and recycling boxes down the street and picking up flying rubbish.

Bright and breezy in north Lancashire. The 'eye' of Doris is just passing over here and my barometer is reading 975mb. The strongest winds from a storm like this are always on the southern flank, hence why the strongest winds are currently in north Wales, Merseyside.

Weather is generally quite pleasant here, sunny day, mostly dry so far but with a few sudden, incredible gusts that send things flying. The sound at those times reminds me of 87 when we were living in Brighton and went out the following morning to what looked like a disaster zone.

  • Kenilworth Castle have closed for the day (that's at the top of the road I live on), as has the RAF museum at Cosford. Bit rubbish for the kids half term week here.

Kite flying at the local park might not be a good idea either!

You might want to amend the title.  My first thought on seeing this was that it was a thread about her croaking.

Horizontal rain & lots of standing water (south Lancs) , A few of the neighbours fence panels have disappeared down the road. the force of the wind is driving the rain through the brickwork over the kitchen window & flooding the window sill.

I'm just waiting for @stickyfiddle to turn up to remind us all that it's 40 degrees and as still as a child hiding in Jimmy Savile's wardrobe.

It's actually a blissful 24-ish today. We even had rain a couple of dasy ago. That's probably it for the year now :relaxed:

  • My commute was colder than penguin poop & wetter than the seats at a Buble concert.

Rain->sleet->snow. High winds. All fun on the bike. It's worse in Glasgow though (that's just a general rule, I'm sure it's snowing there too).

Essex and Canary Wharf - was blowy at 7 when I caught the train this morning, don't think it's too bad in Canary Wharf now.  I've heard that the trains might be subject to speed restrictions, and I might not get home til midnight tonight...
