Can anyone recommend one? I'm in need of a refresher. Basic stuff up to Macros would be ideal.

Best way with excel is very much getting stuck in trying to achieve an outcome and then work out how to do it. What do you want to do in excel, exactly?

In terms of functions it's easy enough to learn the syntax of each one but unless you do it in a real-world situation it's unlikely to stick, in my experience.

Unfortunately I haven't seen the set up yet. It's purchasing, forecasting etc. Nothing I haven't done before but it's been a while.
    Thanks.

Ok, so you're not learning from scratch :)

My skill set is around financial modelling for infrastructure projects, so I do a lot of excel but the key is to try and keep simple wherever possible. Key stuff is Sumif, Sumproduct, If, Index and Match (those two often used together). You can build almost anything with those in terms of pure numbers.

Then it's good to have a handle on Goalseek, Data Tables, Data Validation and conditional formatting and you should be set,

I've never been on a course apart from a single 60-min video which I can dropbox to you if it might help. It's financial-modelling specifically but might be worth a watch as it's all good habits for excel in general.

Best bet is definitely to just jump in and try and do what you want to do. When you get stuck, the Internet will come up trumps, there's tons of resource out there!

I consider myself highly proficient now and I've never had any actual training, it's all just come from diving in and trying to do what I want to do and learning as you go!

Google the name of the application followed by the name of a famous religious text and complete it with the acronym "pdf".
