@ICBM light behaves as waves as well as particles. sound waves into a microphone produce an analog signal. it's not all digital.
That analogue microphone signal is still composed of discrete quantum changes if you go down small enough. Individual photons may behave as waves as well as particles but they are still not 'analogue'.

Shouldn't be, you have to choose whether to put them on or not in my experience (based on a Cayman).
I guess I need to find out how to turn em off then
    :D

  • Having spent last week driving a horrendous auto-box Chevrolet Cruze, features I most missed from my Golf include::

    -Auto headlights
    -Bluetooth in-car speaker phone
-Decent throttle response and available power for overtaking
-Non-spongy brakes. The long pedal on the rental car was bloody awful
-Proper central door and boot locking that's logical in the way it works...
-AC that works quickly and accurately. Particularly when it's 45C outside!!

    Stuff I didn't miss:
-Auto wipers. They never wipe when I want them to, on any sensitivity setting.

And both cars have sports seats. Bloody marvellous. The only good thing about the Chevy tbh!

A crank handle. Ordinary electronic ignition for when the ECU f_cks up. Contact breakers for when the the foregoing stop working. A magneto for when the battery is too flat to provide a spark on manual cranking.

Citröen 2CV, that's the car for you! I had a couple when I was younger, and the starting handle does come in handy when you're too skint to buy a new battery… as far as I know, they were the last production car made with one.

  • But I really do fancy one of these - even if it'll carry less weight than the Vauxhall I have now ...
