The friendly UPS fella gave me this today...

http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd489/Bydytron/IMG_20131205_140130_zpsb51e1dc4.jpgYep, MiJ Charvel So Cal, brand spanker, Candy Blue. The blue is much nicer IRL than it looked in the stock photos (as usual). I've been lusting after one of these since they came out, so when Richtone announced they had the last ever MiJ stock in, I had to.
And yes, it plays as well as everyone says. The neck is Ibanez Wizard size, but more of a C than a D. Fuck it's comfy. It needs a bit of tweaking to get it how I like it, but largely it plays very well out of the box, no rattling or crazy-high action. Band practice can't come soon enough!

It's a bit creaky at the moment, it's still a bit new and needs playing in... My pleasure
Oh yes, they're definitely a pleasure to play.
You might need to adjust the pup height as they are powerful and can get a little muddy (esp the neck). Sweet guitar though fella.

TOO TASTEFUL FOR ME.
What's not helping my usual indecisiveness if I can't decide on a model or colour, either. I prefer the non-scratchplate ones (both the looks and the pickups, not to mention the chrome hardware)... but of the colours that are available (i.e. i'd prefer the older ferrari red or white, neither available) that blue one with the black scratchplate is maybe the nicest. Dang it looks nice. )
EDIT: How light is the blue? If it's even possible to answer that )
Yeah the blue one with the scratchplate is out of stock ) Didn't see that coming. Still, it's the same blue as on the one without the scratchplate, right? If so, it'd still be helpful... is it super light and pastelly?
The one I have here isn't what I'd call super-light, but it is lighter than it looks in the stock images and it is quite pastelly, reminds me of Pelham Blue. The picture I posted (blurry though it is) is quite a good representation, if you take into account the shine.
The San Dimas might look a bit lighter without the black hardware, scratchplate and top-mounted jack.
I suppose the red one might be the safer choice- my original first choice (without the scratchplate) would've been the old ferrari red, and I suppose the candy red isn't a million miles away from that. Second choice would've been white.
Only thing is I already have a bunch of red guitars (including my star) and I only have one blue guitar (which is nothing like the charvel). )
They're the same blue........
When I looked at them, a couple of years ago, the San Dimas looked a little untidy around the pup's, hence I got a So-Cal (difference - So Cal has a scratch plate and Di Marzio's....)

So yeah, I'm pleased I went for the red, it looks great. Good job I realised this when they still had one left ) Thanks for all your help about the colours
Great work dude! I've been playing mine non-stop and it's just awesome in every way, it just fits me so well.
Go on then, stick a couple of pics of your San Dimas up! What pups are in it?
