If i can be in good enough health to do that, i will be there man.
I will do my best.
If you can make it down here that would be amazing !
I will do everything i can to be at this. I can't remember the last time i had a night out.
Yes i can ! It was the curry social night with Phil and Big Jon and Nick.
I still can't remember how long ago that was though.
I will be there !
Have you tried Thetrainline.com ?
If cheap flights / transfers / hotel work out then I'm definitely up for it.
A - i can't 100% guarantee my health
B - Our entire flat is 5m x 2m, there just isn't anywhere for you to sleep and again i can't guarantee my health.
I can see what the B&B Prices are here in Bedford but by the time you factor in extra train journeys it will be the same or more than a B&B in Kings Cross - That's the easiest and cheapest.
Sorry man, if i had more space and / or wasn't quite so ill i would do.
@Alnico - it'd be great to see you there, buddy
I think Drew might be coming along, too...
Morgan has his own room next door. We have a bathroom/shower en-suite which is 1mx2m as well and we have the big landing, old brick spiral staircase and 30ft high atrium on the landing so while that's not living space as such, with the doors open it makes the place feel a bit bigger. We have the whole top floor but the actual living spaces aren't big, if you get that?
We have a bedroom, living room, dining cafe style corner table and chairs and a kitchen, all within 5m x 2m space.
Housework takes 10 minutes and what we don't have, we don't need.
It's a lot like going back to student days but Morgan is 20 and IS a student so it's great for him and for us, we get to be kids again and it doesn't clash with anyone. The building is like a throwback to the 60's anyway with lots of colours, colourful people, interesting aroma's and pretty much 24/7 loud music. All the flats are acoustically insulated so i can play through my amp at midnight and the girl downstairs (who is cool as fuck anyway) can't hear it and doesn't care.
Further down is another friend / neighbor who is very Rastafarian and therefore,.......cool as fuck and plays loud music all day and night. He loves the guitar because i'm teaching him how to play and his first song is redemption song for when all his mates are over 'Jammin'.
We sold our car, all our big old furniture and built this place to work, albeit on a small scale. It's almost finished and will be for Christmas - actually we were going to post photo's of the place all done on Christmas day as a surprise and thank you to all the people who saved us last year and made this place possible.
It's a mind shift but it really works and for a retired truck driver who just wants to forget about the rat race and concentrate on being a musician for some kind of living, man it's perfect.
Small but perfectly formed.
And cheap.
The Entire place costs the three of us £105 a week and the entire elec bill (no Gas) is £25 per week.
It's how i've managed to retire. Rather than try to get more money in we just rebuilt our life to not include the costs we used to have. What we don't have we save up for and get but we don't have crippling debt anymore and what small amount we do have is well under control.
We have all never been so happy in all our years. We're people again, the 'Real Us' and it's wonderful. Not loaded with money but more wonderful sometimes than any money could ever buy.
But yeah, we can't have guests - sorry !
But yeah I will be there.
I'm really looking forward to this.
Looking forward to the gig and meeting people.
