Well if you'd let me have a go on it maybe more people would be on the @Jetfire bandwagon.
I'm looking forward to hearing how much you like Manic Street Preachers. :P
I was looking forward to going down under!
Get there early.
Seems to go very quiet for the last couple of hours so if you think you will only be there briefly being late isn't a terrible idea ( obviously you will miss stuff and then get kicked out but you'll get a better parking space).
Short bus ride from Brum city centre ( can't remember which busses).
Nearest Metro( tram)and train stations are both Jewellery Quarter, ten minute walk from there. Jewellery Quarter is a brief train or Metro ride from the city centre. It is also on the Chiltern Line that runs from Marlybone, which are usually much, much cheaper tickets than the Virgin trains running from Euston.
Ultimately walkable from the city centre, although I doubt if it's that nice a walk and maybe 20-30 minutes? Obviously taxis available at city centre train stations. Jewellery Quarter is quiet on a Saturday and almost deserted on Sundays so you might not get a taxi off the rank there.
Quite a way from the nearest major airport, although two trains from Birmingham International would get you to Jewellery Quarter quite quickly.
Long way from the nearest bit of coastline, although you could get within walking distance by canal.
Not sure where you'd leave your horse, helicopter or penny farthing.
I'm going to take the missus so I don't spend anything.
Is Saturday or Sunday better?
Haven't decided whether I will windsurf there down the canal or attempt to snowmobile along the M6.
If not, Saturday's usually the livelier, I think.
