If you're planning on getting some new tyres for your car you might want to get them now to save a few bob.
A friend had a couple of tyres fitted & the tyre fitter told him he had an email from his supplier saying they will be going up by 30% in around three to four weeks time.
The breakdown he was given was:
10% for exchange rate (i.e. Brexit tax)
10% for raw material increases
10% from the withdrawal of Chinese export kickbacks (not sure what this
-- I think it means that China was dumping tyres on the UK market and
they have been forced to cease).
