1994 G&L S500 - £1100 + postage

1994 G&L S500

Made in the custom facility. Special one off model featuring a swamp ash body and Seymour Duncan vintage staggered pickups. The guitar has been fitted with graphtec saddles but apart from that is stock (with the PTB wiring scheme). The overall condition of the instrument is good, however there are marks from picking on the scratch plate and a few dents as this has been a working instrument.

I'm including a Protec Contego gigbag with the sale.

Isn't the G&L model without the MFD pickups a Legacy rather than an S500? It's the pickups that differentiate the two models pretty much. Very nice still....

Normally yes but this was a custom order (not by me, I was 3 months old when this guitar was built...)

I'd say £1500 would cover it, although then I'm not sure how much work I'd be able to do (musician by trade...)

Thank you very much! The arrangement is based off the concept of cluster voicings, there is a pdf transcription in the youtube description if you're interested.

Considering that you play this guitar in numerous videos, songs etc, had it for quite a while, and that it's a one off model, I suspect it's quite special both personally and in terms of rarity, and that there's a big chance you'd regret selling it.  Don't let my fine wisdom sway you though. If it's genuinely no longer needed, or you've got something better, then let it go. I just remember parting ways with a one-off Hofner Ambassador which still haunts me to this day and wouldn't want a fellow guitar hombre to possibly commit a similar act of tomfoolery.

Anyway, less of the waffle. Great guitar and great playing, too. I'll check out more of your stuff

It's true that I'll miss the guitar, but sadly it's just not receiving the play time that justifies me hanging on to it.

    Price drop to £1100 ONO

That's the most obvious difference. The S-500 also has an extra switch (toggle on the current ones, push-pull pot on older ones) that lets you use bridge and middle pickups together, or all three, and has a flatter fingerboard radius. Essentially, the Legacy is their "vintage" strat, the S-500 is the "modern" one.

This is how the current line works at least- not sure all of this holds true for the older ones.

Beautiful guitar. If I didn't already have an S-500 I'd want one.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.
