I hope you enjoy it as much as I am Waz. I was hooked on the first listen which is always a good thing.
Gimmicky and uninspired.
When did you listen to it/over what period?
I loved his old solo material, but this is so bland. The first track Woo Se Mamma is like a bad session on Jools and the rest is... yawn.. I think he cares more about how he looks nowadays than the music. Turgid.
I say that as a massive Weller fan as well. I'd love to say how great it is but for me, ultimately it's a load of bilge. What kind of revolution is it exactly?
There's one song on there that I'd listen to again willingly!
Any idea what he uses on the new record?
But for me there's nothing to rate on the new album. The only half decent tune is Satellite Kid and that's only redeemed by the guitar work.
Sad really.
