After seeing the piano guys at the albert hall last week I've been inspired to learn Cello,
Have read that similar to guitars, the ones aimed at the lowest point of the market are going to be difficult. Looked into some basic models... Christ they're still expensive.
I guess that dream will have to put on hold until my mortgage stops eating my wages!

Rule #7, interestingly, is "nothing on the treble clef", which gets awkward at times. There's only so far the tenor clef gets you.

Also my cello teacher has confirmed that the Stentor II is an excellent choice for a beginner and will see you through to intermediate. The Stentor I is apparently not very good.

I've always found thomann named instruments to punch way above their weight and the 56 reviews are worth reading....
They're not nice.
