if you have a radius in the slot you need to make the bottom of the nut match. Easiest way is to put some sandpaper face up on the fretboard and use it as an improptue sanding block.
String slots always need some adjustment anyway

fender tend to come curved - these are 9.5"
Just checked allparts. some specify the radius some don't.
nuts should always be considered to require some fitting and modification when fitting

I've sanded lots of blanks on the radius of the board and it's a PITA. Usually pencil the radius on first, take the bulk off with a dremel and then start sanding.
I wish they could just come up with a standard size and we all use that.
For my own builds I just buy flat base Tusq blanks that are oversized and shape them down.
