All done ...
Made a weird head cab last week as I had a couple of hours spare. Have just put the finishing touches on it.
AC15 type circuit - EF86 channel with rotary tone selector, 3-position bright and boost selector switches. 12Ax7 Top-boost channel, both into master volume and tone cut controls.
Sounds ace. Especially like the EF86 channel - tons of chime - exactly what I wanted. Top-boost channel is raucous and does that EL84 grind really well.
Whole thing is fantastically loud and punchy too.
Oh and it lights up and looks all pretty and stuff

If so, this is awesome!
Ace. Looks like a Jawa Sandwalker when it’s lit up.
Nice.
Mine has a 12ax7 boost circuit but I'm not sure if it's a separate channel - it certainly is boosted though! Amazing how crunchy it gets.
Now if you ever fancied a cheap SVT clone to work on.....

No doubt the Top Boost channel will sound excellent. I'm sure the EF86 channel is useful for something, like running an mp3 player into when you're learning a song.
The styling is really great - and the sloping top is probably just steep enough to put off anyone from putting a drink on it, while not being unusable for a capo or something.

In fact, trade you back?
