And please do let him know I will trade it for 45 curly wurlies and 16 packets of skittles, when the time comes
I hope that you're 'keeping it in working order' for him through regular playing - everyone knows that guitars go stale and mouldy if not played at full volume on regular occasion ;-)

@steer oh, OK then.

I’ve almost got this in reverse. My daughter was born ten days ago, after calling the new grandparents to let them know she had arrived I quickly checked my email for the first time in 24hours. Sat there in my inbox was a congratulations from reverb.com -I’d just won the ‘67 Gretsch Tennessean! It was not only the icing on the cake but also played into the months of hearing about birth gifts for new mums to which I’d always given the stock reply ‘no problem, is baby bringing me a guitar too’? Seems she was!
NGD by the end of the week.
Clearly there's not much point in him having at the minute, he's far too small. I'll gladly keep it safe for him for a couple of years til he's ready, free of charge. I'd hate think of it sitting idle for that long!
The 339 on him looks like a 335 on an adult :-)
