For anyone that's not noticed, a subsection has appeared under OT titled "Politics Economics".
It's intended for grown up discussion of those topics.
The subsection was previously in BCD because PolEcon threads had a tendency to descend into personal insult posts when people disagreed with each other (and sometimes even themselves), and we didn't want that sort of content visible to Google et al.
But putting PolEcon threads into BCD also effectively hid them from all those sensible people who ignore BCD.
So, we're now trying out the option of putting those discussions back into public view, but they'll be subject to less tolerant moderation. Any insult type posts will be deleted without explanation or apology, and frequent offenders coolered.

He's not asking us to agree - just to grow up.
Even the children in Parliament can disagree without resorting to personal insults.
