Get well soon matey.
Also, don’t work on your car the afternoon before an important gig either...

Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
My hand went giant and couldn't accurately move fingers.
Luckily i was only playing bass, put double sided tape on a pick so i didn't lose grip and managed to play
I've gigged a low action strat with 9s the day after 4 stitches because I caught the edge of an industrial belt sander on my index finger. I've never seen so much blood before the stitches and I had to keep wiping the fingerboard after the first set so the audience didn't get grossed out. It was a 3 set function gig as well.
Another time I slashed the second finger tip with a stanley knife while disposing of a DAT backup tape half a hour before setting off to an acoustic guitar only gig. Lots of superglue reqularly applied got me through.
TBH the next day on both occasions was very very sore, the adrenalin must have got me through (along with some interesting fingering and abreviated solos). I hope you have a rapid recovery @poopot
