Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
I have been through it many times with our Wolfhounds as they are very prone to heart issues
The coughing is a result of the lungs not clearing due to the heart disfunction /pulmonary issue -they should give a diuretic such as Frusimide to stop water logging of the plural cavity and a heart drug such as Forticore.
Heart tumours are very rare in dogs......but most Labs will have some degree of Cardiomyopathy by that age -the enlargement causes the heart muscle to become thinner walled and pump less strongly when contracting
My sister is a vet .....I have been through these treatments and part of a test group under Dr Serena Brownlie who is the leading researcher of Heart disease in Dogs.
In our thoughts mate...
I lost my Collie, Ben, about 2 years ago... and still miss him.
But there is always hope, my friend, always hope

All the best to you and Winnie.
So, it appears it may be a form of cancer in the throat
As I type, we don't know until this afternoon if it's treatable or not. If it's a blood cancer, then it is. The position of it makes it inoperable.
I'm not hopeful.
She's not in massive pain, so that's good. Endoscopy and Biopsy now ongoing- will know more at 2pm
Thanks for all well wishers and common sense talk. Apprc.
Apols if I've been slow on a couple of payments and sending stuff out.

My cat was diagnosed with cancer at the start of January - all you can do is wait for the results, and then just speak through what can be done with the vet.
Fingers crossed it's treatable. Is she insured?
Paws crossed for Winnie - I hope It’s not her time just yet. All the best.
