I would prefer pick up on these for obvious reasons. I'm in the Huddersfield area. I will deliver within reason or meet halfway for petrol money.

2008 Fender Custom Shop '50s Top Bound Esquire Relic - £2000
SOLD

Demo of one here:

Condition is actually near mint, but it’s relic’d so yeah, it doesn’t look it. All completely stock.

Case candy inc ashtray bridge cover, original unused leather strap, original strap buttons (fitted with Schaller locks currently) and tone cap to make it sound like a normal Esquire*. Usual certificate, hang tags pics and the like (see photos).

*Guitar has the Eldred tone mods as stock.

2007 Gibson Les Paul R8 VOS Custom Shop ’58 re-issue - £2000

SOLD

Owned from new. A single mark that's taken out the lacquer on the back upper bout (photographed), also the lacquer has started cracking on the binding on the bottom (also photographed). Otherwise the guitar is stock and near mint, with just light scratching that you can barely see. Weighs about 9.5lbs. Fitted with Schaller strap buttons, originals also included.

It has a 50's neck and is fitted with Mojo Pickups Mojotrons (Filtertron clones). It has 3 marks under the laquer (suspect it's dinks in the wood before it was painted) that I just can't get to photograph. Fitted with Schaller strap buttons.

  • Nice selection that, even the 339 which I’m not usually a fan of has a certain something. Best of luck with the sale.

  • is that tele routed for a neck pickup?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

It's a shame the neck isn't stripped on the Tele.

    It ticks every box otherwise.

  • It's fantastic that the neck has never been stripped on the esquire!!!

  • And the 339. This is probably just going to devalue them.
They were all very nice as I recall. The 339 surprised me as i didn’t think I’d like it
