The giant plates of nachos you can get at The Auld Hoose also appeals.
Red Dog guitar shop was good for a ten minute browse.
Definitely have breakfast in Caffiene Drip (it's worth the queue) then another day have waffles for breakfast in Affogato, around the corner from Caffiene Drip.
Mary King's Close was excellent, we went quite late (9pm or so). If the weather's nice, take a walk up to Holyroodhouse and then around and up Arthur's Seat. Will take 45 mins or so to walk, but amazing views from the top. Walk back to town via The Auld Hoose and have their monster nachos, and you'll never need to eat again for the rest of your life.
We went to a cool little Tiki cocktail bar called 52 Canoes, not too expensive (compared to London anyway) but cosy and chilled.
I look foreign so hopefully I'll be OK.

You missed summer though . It was here last week!
Have added those suggestions on that thread to my list. That Gelato place I see is mentioned a couple of times...it must be good, hopefully the weather warrants icecream!
