Your life will improve when you realise it’s better to be alone than chase people who do not really care about you. Saying YES to happiness means learning to say NO to things and people that stress you out.

I haven't been back.
Another local tech called me anal when I took back a guitar for adjustments to a new nut he installed that I was not happy with - and he did an ugly job on my stainless steel refret too.
I haven't been back.
I do my own set ups now....
My own contribution is the time I took a guitar with slightly sharp fret ends to a recommended tech and asked him to smooth them. He certainly smoothed them but he filed them at a very shallow angle so that the chamfer was about 4-5mm long at each fret end. The inevitable consequence was that the high and low E strings could easily slip off the fret ends, not to mention the buzzes when bending strings. The only solution was to get an expensive refret done elsewhere as my confidence in him was by then zero.
The yard is nothing but a fence, the sun just hurts my eyes...
The solution isn't rocket science: (i) own up to accidental damage and put it right, and (ii) don't do anything to a guitar unless it's been expressly agreed with the owner.
Ccgx and Gray Guitars both dud good work
