Their website (and especially photography) is shite, yes - I've moaned about it over and over but never got anywhere . That's not the only reason though - loads of people looked at it in the shop over the years, but no-one liked it.
Every Anderson of any description I've played has been similar, although not as bad as that one. I just don't get them at all. Perfectly made, and perfectly dull.
Having the most offensively bland headstock on any guitar probably doesn't help either.

He also paints them and everything is done In-House. No farming out.
Here is a Tele he made me to match my 83 Tokai Strat.
And a Strat he made...
Matching necks...
He's just finished me another Tele. Single bound in Seafoam Green with Braz fingerboard. I collect it next weekend.
All within your budget.
Of course I am biased!!!!!

The problem I have with most Teles is the control layout. The pickup switch is too close to the volume control. Ideally the volume would be a bit closer as well. Steve Cropper has it about right.
Edit: Tried to post a link to picture of the Steve Cropper Sig Peavey and failed. Would want traditional single coil pickups but a control layout like that. I have thought about going to someone like Eternal and getting a custom build for that reason, as it's very hard to find a Tele with a traditional bridge and pickups that doesn't have the traditional control plate.
The worst thing is when people like Anderson mess up the recipe (like the one above) they still keep the control plate.

But MJTs stuff is up there with all the Fender CS guitars I’ve played.
As for Teles, @crunchman , look at the Musikding control plate. They do a custom one with the volume pot moves a smidge away from the switch. Makes a huge difference and I wouldn’t have a Tele with a regular plate now. Fender should make it a standard part on all their modern Teles

This is is my tele build. Rutters saddles and control layout. Met body and musikraft neck.
best tele I have ever played, ageing beautifully! Get so many comments on the playability and sound and looks if it. It feels like an old friend classic saying.
i feel if the neck and body are tight fitting, good quality woods and neck has to be the best you can afford then you get a good guitar.
