After a sizeable absence with only the occasional lurk I find myself back and drooling over everyone else’s guitars lol.

I’ve had a gander at some of the more ‘controversial’ recent threads and was just about to sack the forum off again due to the usual sniping/bitterness but my faith is restored - mainly by the attitude of a couple of sellers (g4u and Coda), 2 guitar magazine editor types, professionals like Chris Buck and a couple of the custom guitar builders.

Its good to to be back. Crack on !

I think we all see mostly what we want to see.

There are idiots in every corner of life and the internet. I tend to roll past them without much interest here and dwell on the huge amount of kindness, knowledge and good humour on TFB.

Yes, there is a certain about of pettiness and even nastiness on here, as there is in the outside world, but the point is it's not obligatory to read it. There's far more on here that makes really good reading.

I occasionally signup to other guitar or other interest forums to perhaps ask a Q about a thread subject or help out with some info, but I rarely stay there for long.

This place is the best. Gonna find cockwombles any where you go in life. Schools, colleges, workplaces, web forums etc etc

Over the years this (and the owd place) has provided me with many hours of amusement, knowledge and the opportunity to buy and sell some awesome bits of gear.

Ask any guitar related question and you will find your answer. Some of the guys on here are legendary
