we all get bored of what we have from time to time and playing a new guitar (even one with poor set up etc) can seem more fun than playing our boring old guitar.
Play the strat for a bit, you’ll get bored and move back on to the PRS then you’ll get bored again and move back to the strat it’s a cycle.
I had a similar tale with a PRS Sat in the cupboard while I played a Tele almost exclusively.
I'd occasionally take the PRS out and play it for a while but never gigged it.
When I realised I'd not played it in about 6 months I decided to sell it. This was a big deal as I'd owned it since 1991 and was bought in part with money given to me for my 21st.
It sold and I ultimately put some of the money into an EBMM Albert Lee which I had fancied since I first saw one back when Albert was playing the prototype.
Do I miss it? Yes butt only in a nice to have way.
Was it a knee jerk decision, no as I hadn't played it in anger in over 5 years.
Do I love the Albert Lee? Oh yes.
