Presumably it had strings on when it was a “daily user” but they fell off after years and years in tbe closet in a modern case.

"A potential replica" . As for 'single coils from hell', that immediately brings to mind cheap, microphonic, shitty sounding ceramic single coils. It's now bid at £132, so around 4 x it's real value, what a joker!
