I'm working myself towards a house in the country anyway so I just want to accelerate that. I would probably not give up work anyway just take a different direction.
Aye well I have done it.
Few years back before I turned 30 I did a Btec level 3 Mechanics course, n the Maths and IT course was mandatory with that.
I didnt realise without any experience in said field, it would be worthless. Apprenticeships I tried but being over 19, no one wants to take you as your not eligible for Gov funding..
Anyway that career is a ship thats long sailed. My back wouldnt take it these days lol.
I'm also a qualified ECA for ambulance work...
Just doesnt guarantee any joy of actually getting the employment!
Watch this space guys..
I'll buy you an R8 each.
Learn how to paint and decorate as an example, get your name out there with everyone you know, plus some basic advertising in local shops etc, get some work in while keeping your current job and you could end up in a much better situation than you currently are within the year.
Its a minefield out there.
Mum & Stepdad have recently had a nightmare leak, which led to an entire new bathroom being fitted..
I could have done a better job I'm sure of it.
Plus being my own boss is very appealing!
There are some serious disadvantages versus being employed of course, but on the whole I can’t imagine life any other way.
FWIW you may well be in the perfect situation to get a little business off the ground with the hours you are working covering your bills, while leaving enough time get out there and create something new for yourself.
It’s never going to happen though unless you make it!
But they LOVE the idea of what National Lottery staff call F*** Off money.
” Oh you are only 25 and you like older men with money”
Well I have plenty lol
yes I am that shallow lol
On second thoughts i would just buy a nice pair of slippers, a new couch and a bigger TV, living the middle aged dream
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
