SOLD: Huber Twangmeister - Ash body, maple neck, P90 - £2,250
What's Hot
I'm really not convinced I want to sell this one - it's a stunning, stunning guitar which resonates for days and it both beautiful and fun to play.
The Twangmeister is Nik Huber's take on the original 50s Tele, but with some modern design tweak and appointments
Sporting a one piece, carved swamp ash body and a flamed maple neck with abalone dots, it's an absolute beaut
It weighs in at 7.7lbs and the neck carve is chunky but with a very even C shape, so it sits in the hand very nicely - the closest Fender profile is the 50/57 V, but it's definitely more 'C' than 'V' - pretty bang on a Gibson 59 carve, me thinks
It has a P90 with an Alnico V in the neck which measures at 7.56k and produces very usable 'fat strat' sounds on it's own and it blends in brilliantly with the bridge pickup to give beefy mid position tones. The Bridge pup is of the broadcaster variety (9.97k with AWG43 wire, so think around 8k if you want to compare with the P90) - really dynamic and responsive to the tone control.
Given that its 2011 guitar, it's in really nice condition - there are a couple of very small dinks in the headstock (highlighted in the close up pic) and it's otherwise spotless.
The hardware is aged and the whole guitar has a lovely and super-smooth semi-gloss nitro finish
Comes with original Tweed G&G case and the Huber Certificate
The guitar is in Dorking, Surrey and I'd be amazed if the first to try doesn't buy. I have a shipping box and postage would be at cost.

The answer was never 42 - it's 1/137 (..ish)

That is fantastic.
All the best with your sale.
Suddenly I feel I have one or two too many guitars and whilst this is a stunner in every way, I have another Tele that I can’t see me ever parting with, so this is up on the block for a week or two
