I'm going to see if I can surpass this year's 106 uploads to YouTube, though I doubt I'll be that bothered if I don't.

As for gear, I've got a small pedal wishlist if I get any spare money, and an old guitar build that I'm slowly rebuilding which just needs a decent pair of pickups (I've got some PRS SE ones for now) when I'm finished.

  • Playing:
Seeing as I am currently sans band, maybe get some acoustic solo stuff going, potentially another band after a bit of time off, this time heavier rock than before, verging on the metal.

    Gear:
For solo acoustic, a PA system of some description, preferably lightweight and easily portable. Maybe a baritone acoustic.

My band - Crimson on Silver  For sale - Blackstar HT-5S

Gear - Guitars, amps, effects and shizz. Edited for Phil_aka_Pip, who is allergic to big long lists.

Nothing on my radar at the minute ... lol.
Need to sell some guitars, amps, pedals.

    Playing
Taking lessons in the new year from a great country guitar player I know. I really want to nail Atkins/Travis picking instead of just messing around.

Need to start playing along to albums and backing tracks again, get the brain working again.

Spend some time getting my Helix sorted properly.

  • I'm 63 next month and been playing nut and barre chords for as long as I can remember.  I've always worked hard and I managed to retire last week.  Lots of things planned, especially more time on the guitar with a view to becoming a better than basic player.

  • Gearwise, it's unlikely I'll buy anything as I seem to be perpetually skint these days, but I may build myself a pedal or two. I'd also like to get the Squier P-Bass respray finished. That got stalled, but I'd like it operational.

Playing wise, I'm not particularly fussed about being a great musician, but I definitely want to get way more songs written and recorded and learn how to mix them well. If all goes well, I may even need to find a singer!
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

    Guitar

I have two albums due out this year. One is my bands so the idea is to tour that around in autumn.

The other album is my solo album which we will be playing a series of installation gigs to release.

    Gear

There’s nothing I need, actually I’ve more than I need by far at the moment. The idea is to sell 3/4 guitars this year, maybe an amp or two and rather embarrassingly when I have done my Christmas tidy up of gear I realised I have a large plastic container of pedals that are not on my board either. So all in all I have things to move on.

Right this is a guitar forum for guitar nerds. You people saying you don't want to buy any more need to take a good look at yourselves.

@Paul_C  have you got a link to your YouTube page?
