As a keen devotee of internet maestro Eric Haugen, I have been slightly envious of his battered old mocha Fender Mustang.
Well imagine my joy and surprise when I lit upon something similar, albeit a decade younger, on a Japanese auction site.
A series of dubious transactions later, bit of wracking of nerves from buying such an artefact unseen (literally) from the other side of the world, and lookie here what just turned up at the Moans office facility...
Finished in the finest of transparent mocha brown hues, Laydeez and Djentlemen I give you: the 1975 Fender Mustang.

I've an early 70's Mustang myself, great guitars.
did you get bummed by import tax& the like on top of the cost?
been interested in a few 'grey imports' myself but always conscious of vat/tax etc

Normal import duty and VAT add about 25% to purchase cost AND shipping price. There’s also the CITES ball ache to consider...
