Andertons were fantastic, had a replacement over first thing for me to collect.
So here it is. An Ibanez Iron Label RGDIX6MPB.
Killed 2 birds with one stone with this model. Its a slightly longer scale by an inch, which means its factory set up/tuned to D standard, but with standard .10 strings (which just so happens to be what I was going for in a new guitar, to enable me to play along with cky tunes)..
It was spur of the moment, I saw it on Andertons website for £550 odd, comes with the dimarzios and gotoh locking tuners, glowy side dot markers, a birdseye maple board, maple & purple heart neck and the poplar burl bit on top, thought it wasnt a bad price considering it was already set up ready to go in the tuning I wanted.
1 vol knob, and a 3 way toggle for the p'ups.
Stupidly I took the below pic in light, and so the burled bit is reflecting it and masking the detail...
So a better one:
Not a tear out in sight...
The only easy day, was yesterday...

What's the third back plate for? One is for the pickup selector, the other for the tone but I have no idea what the other one is for. The pickups are listed as passive so it can't be for a battery.
One thing...is the switch not in a bit of an awkward position?
I think I'm used to unusual positions, the majority of guitars I've owned seem to have odd placements!
Haha made me giggle that.
I wondered the exact same thing!
