I'm wanting £1,200

I just don't play this Strat and thought it best to move it on to someone who might.  I'm the second owner, it's not been gigged so there's no fret wear and it's very clean.  It has two marks to show it's been owned: a tiny chip in the paint in the lower cutaway neck pocket and a couple of small paint discolourations where the previous owner had it on a guitar stand.  You can see both of these in the photos. The tweed case has a small scuff on one of the bottom corners.

It sounds great and has a the kind of feel and mojo you'd expect from a '62 Strat and the surf green is very cool, nitro finish of course. I've always called her Lydia :-)  The 5 way pickup selector is fitted though I have the 3 way.

This is what an enquiry to Fender with the serial number told me:

I can’t believe you haven’t had any comments on this guitar or that no-one’s bought it yet.  I have an AVRI ‘62 from this era and it’s superb.  Yours is certainly a looker.  GLWTS

I have a 97 version in 3 colour sunburst and its just amazing . . . Love the colour of this example . . .Want it, obviously, but that would just be greedy :-)
Id just like to point out that, despite all the video and DNA evidence, it genuinely wasn't me, your Honour  !

Thanks for the comments, you're both right, they're great guitars, really capturing the mojo of the originals. And yes, the surf green colour is the business, and you know @maw4neu greed isn't always bad ;-)
