Its a shame that they are in clown-burst or dodgy target burst. I'd be keen if they were either wine red, cherry (as long as it wasn't Yamaha's usual lipstick red version thereof) or black.

    But burst? Yuk.

Nothing wrong with a good SA2200 - Certainly not a poor man's 335 - Looks a good price and as you say 'a lot of guitar for the money'

I used to think that but now think the gold is actually an important element that makes it its own, very classy, guitar. It’d be just another 335 clone otherwise. Other Yamaha sa models do have chrome/nickel but this top of the line stands out as it’s own thing more because of it imho. Maybe I’m just getting old tho...

Yeah, shame it's semi hollow n curvy n stuff

You could get a real Gibson les Paul studio for less

If you buy that you'll just be disappointed you didn't buy a real Gibson for twice the price+

I really rate the SA2200.  Wonderful guitars and mostly built and finished a lot better than Gibbos.
Shame I can't get on with that body shape/size.
Great value at GG and I like than violinburst a lot.
