As someone who's always been as digital as possible and only recently buying a couple of analogue pedals, I was surprised that they add noise to the signal.
Do you not find with using lots of pedals the signal gets very noisy?
I tend to use a few at a time and as my amp is normally on meltdown/high volume, a little bit of hiss isn't a problem anyway.
The pedals on my wall are just some of my pedals, as there are more than those. I may buy a few more shelves and add some more at some point.

But I do see guys with half a dozen pedals going, I guess they just don't mind the noise.
I guess for people who had always used real amps, the choice was pedal with a bit of noise or just not have the effect. Whereas I'm so used to digital where adding an effect doesn't introduce any noise at all so I'm quite intolerant of any added noise.
Easy solution for me of course, just stick to digital!
