the lashing guards look great, but $400 is a bit steep for a sheet of celluloid imo

Personally I really dislike the green ones - the originals aren’t really green at all, it’s more of an odd translucent grey with a slight hint of green. That doesn’t necessarily mean I’d spend the price of a reasonably decent guitar on a replica, but then I wouldn’t pay five grand for a Strat either...

or this one looks pretty close colour wise. Not cheap though
He also used to dig out the clay dots and put pearloid ones in when doing refrets, without permission, along with lacquering fingerboards and sanding off logos.
He really was a bit unhinged.

oh really? I always thought there model was legit nitrate
Some of the original ones look reasonably green but the majority look closer to parchment. And then some body colours make them look more/less green.
It doesn’t worry me so much As its been refinished but would be cool to get the Strat back close to vintage correct.
When I'm playing well it could be said I'm on fire.
