'Bom bom bom bom, tell Laura I love her"
This is up there with 'Leader of the Pack' or any other late 1950's & 1960's cool 'outsider' songs..
RIP.

Why on earth would the BBC ban that?  :o

To tell the truth I had no idea he was still with us, or that he was from Wales, or that he lived in Skegness!

RIP, and thoughts with his loved ones.

    RIP Mr Valance.

Yet it wasn’t just Ricky Valance’s Version of “Tell Laura...” that the BBC banned, so it wasn’t personal.

And the BBC also banned many a great song.... including The Who’s My Generation, Bowie’s Space Oddity and Rod Stewart’s Sailing. I kid you not.
