SORTED: Light-weight (semi)hollow body guitar with wide nut
What's Hot
This may be a long shot, but here it goes nonetheless. I am after a guitar that is/has:
- Light-weight (under 7lb/3kg)
- Semi-hollow, hollow body, even chambered)
- Lower bout of at least 15" width (preferable, 14" might do, depending on the guitar)
- Nut string spacing of at least 36mm E-e, or nut width of 43mm (first and second preference)
- Humbuckers
- No tremolo/Bigsby
- Battered, but functional
- Under £500
I will also have to try it, which means that until the lockdown is over, slim chances, but I thought I'd ask in advance just in case. I am based in Cambridgeshire, but travel to Warwickshire regularly on the A14, so I can try it along that corridor. I am also willing to travel further at the weekends, for the right guitar.
Do I stand a chance of finding something along those lines, by any chance? If so, who would have it? This is indeed my last attempt at electrics. Thanks a lot!
Comments
Two things do not fit your spec:
battered - it's actually mint
price - I won't let it go for less than £600
PS. I haven't got a case, but I keep it in a Taylor gigbag (the classic beige, it fits perfectly).
Weight: 3.55kg (measured stepping on a scale with and without the guitar in my hand)
E-e spacing: 35mm (as in pic below)
I am still undecided on selling it. It's not on sale anywhere yet. So we'll see.
Good luck with your guitar hunt.
