Reverb tank bags screwed down - a better method?

The reverb tank on my HRD was playing up so I took it out for an inspection and to tighten the connection jacks up (all working fine now). But what struck me was the shitty bag and strip of cardboard it was mounted on and two screws either end that just screwed through the cardboard to the bottom of the cabinet. There must be a better way to secure the bag to the bottom of the cabinet? I was thinking of velcro. Anyone done this?

Given it's in a bag. If you place foam around the tank in the bag and then velcro on the underside of the bag then that may offer some improvement.

Yeah, maybe. Perhaps the better option is to remove it completely and throw it in the bin. B) (I hate spring reverb tanks)

The reverb bag in the bottom of my Princeton Reverb is held down with a velcro strap.
