I loved the climb to  Manaton, there are flowers by Jay's grave everytime I rode by, lovely austere stark countryside

Nice looking guitar. Lovely dark woods. Good choice. Have fun.  :-)

Sorry to discuss dosh. Just looked at the price on their website (still listed, for sales purposes I suspect) and that is exactly in the price range we should be paying for a 'final destination' top end acoustic just now imho. Confirms how often folk overpay for similar, often American, instruments. Compare Martin's Modern Deluxe D28 for £4,499. Eek!
Yeah, the D28 modern deluxe was top of my list but glad to have £1800 left in my wallet & a Brook at home!
Same applies to the Lowden, very pretty but not an extra £2k pretty.

In my experience doing that only ends one way...

It's just a bit of a challenge riding home with a Hiscox guitar case in one hand...

Not if you have one of these

So now that's cleared up what will get and which woods will you choose?

Beautiful! Not in the least surprised you picked a Brook. Similar thing happened when I went to Coda to pick up a rather nice top end Furch I'd paid a deposit for then to hold... left with a Brook Taw instead.  Part combination of awesome resonance and,  as another ex Devon boy beloved of the Moor, that additional link to local luthiery.  Just brilliant guitars and at an excellent price point. Enjoy!

Awesome stuff. Not my thing aesthetically but I’m sure it’s stunning as Brooks always are.

And if it’s your favourite out of all that lot you know it’s a great one :)
