I've posted this pic before but here is a homemade tele and a homemade amp -
But Fender knows best, surely.....
The Rutters Jr trims a bit of that off to great effect.
Hmm , I wonder if JonManuel could cut me a body to Jr specs...
I can't really take any credit for it (I don't know if the original owner is on the forum).
I bought it as an unfinished project on eBay
It has Fender tuners
I don't know what the maple neck is as it has a Fender label but there is no serial number on it.
It has a Spaltkings Mahogany Body (from Canada) with a Spalted Maple top which has has truoil applied to it.
it came with a Fender bridge and a really nice case.
As there was a Fender theme I decided to go with Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups
I had them professionally installed and the guitar setup with 10s by the guitar tech below B&T Music in Hastings
Nil Satis Nisi Optimum
to be honest I haven't even plugged it in to an amp yet and only played it a few times acoustically.
My life is just very busy and full of good intentions.
I might be open to offers...
It's great though. Stops me from buying a expensive Strat, because I don't think I'll find one that's much better .

There are at least 3 more in various states of rebuilding/refinishing.....
It's pretty straightforward; the Bigsby is just screwed to the guitar body. Just make sure you centre it in line with the neck perfectly. I'll admit, I made a hash of getting things all lined up on my first try - impatient, rushed the job with a hangover! Luckily it was easily sorted when I sobered up!
The bridge does need altered, you need to remove metal on the rear of the 'ashtray' so that the strings can pass through/over to get to the Bigsby. Easiest way to do this is with a Dremel, you could manually file if you don't have a Dremel or similar rotary tool. I did it with the bridge still on the guitar - just taped an old steel rule on the body behind the bridge in case the Dremel slipped. Remember to tape over the pickups too or you will end up with iron filing beards on the pole pieces!
I'll post a clearer picture of the Bridge modification when I'm home.
