Duran Duran's Danse Macabre and New Model Army's new album.

And Dream Theater's new album. Slightly depends on it being released (or even written and recorded) by Christmas though.

Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Triumph - Edge of Excess, the one with Phil X instead of Rik Emmett so the band now sort of pretend it doesn't exist, and it costs a fortune if you can find a copy.

Lucifer - Lucifer V, which is out in January I think.

Struggling to think of another right now.

Surfing with the alien Picture disc - Joe Satriani (to replace one I gave away )
A Steve Vai Passion & Warfare Gold Disc award  I think issued by ASCAP or BPI

I've never listened to Rival Sons - for some reason I got therm confused with those America pop punk bands that came out in the mid 10's......haven't they realised an album in the last couple of months? I remember recently reading a review that made out they were a more 'traditional' rock band?

Are those two records they have put out recently? the names suggest they are related?

Both released this year. I just haven't caught up with them yet.  They're a great band.

I've been on a roll recently, bought about 25 albums in the last two or three months, which has become unusual for me.

I was looking at the Dance Craze box set in a nice little independent record store near me in Chester, Up North records ...... it's evidently lovingly created - it would be lovely to own. Do you enjoy vinyl @EricTheWeary ?

No, I don't even have anything to play them on anymore. I quite gleefully went over to CD, less so to MP3 and 99% of the time if I want to hear something I will stream it. But I have a lot of 2Tone stuff on CD although not Dance Craze. The remastered film is on Blu-ray/DVD and I don't have a DVD player either so hopefully it pops up on Netflix or something.

I've heard of Peter Jones the actor, Peter Jones the sports commentator and Peter Jones the shop.  Is it any of those?

Yes - I am the same. Still years later I have\t uploaded all my CD's. I haven't subscribed to a streaming service. But probably should.

I've thought about jumping to vinyl - under the probably false assumption - that I'd spend more time actually sitting and listening to music on headphones. It probably wouldn't happen and it'd be expensive and time consuming making the change. I have a friend in Leeds whose looking to start a business rescuing and repairing those huge old units from the 50's, 60's and 70's - they are the size of a side board - and have sliding doors concealing turntables and speakers..... I think they have a name but I cant remember.......
