'Find the Cost of Freedom' (CSNY) works really well in Double Drop D.

Fast forward to this century and I almost never use any open tuning. (The "almost" because I very occasionally use drop D for five minutes or so.) I don't play slide anymore, so it's just a matter of finding interesting new things to do. The way things stand, I keep finding interesting new things to do in standard tuning, so other tunings don't get a look in.
All of that said, I've never heard of double drop D and I'll have a tinker with it later on today. Thanks for the idea!
Of course in Double Drop D you're only 1 string away from DADGAD tuning too......that can sound lush.
It's short but I don't have enough decades left to learn it myself!
I do use Open G with a low C on occasion too - that's good fun
