After selling my Milsom, which in some ways may be an action that I’ll regret (except it was painful to play) I had an appetite sparked for a Rosewood bodied guitar. This led to some growing and I saw that Project Music had offers on some Furch guitars. Having recently vowed I’d never buy a guitar that I hadn’t played I was conflicted but I’m happy with my “Little Jane” and Furch have a great reputation I pressed the buy button.
Whilst I was at work the courier delivered this:
Furch Yellow OM, rosewood body, spruce top. In the interest of full disclosure I’d intended to get a cedar top, but I was on the train and having trouble getting payment to work on my iPad so switched to my phone and in my haste pressed the wrong button and didn’t notice the mistake until it arrived.
I toyed with sending it back (but would have felt guilty about doing that) but as soon as I played it all thoughts of that went out of the window. It arrived perfectly set up and plays beautifully.
The pictures don’t really do it justice, there’s some amazing texture to the body especially and I may try to get some better ones when the light improves.
