The bridge is in an ‘interesting’ position!

Yeah, safe to say he’s not been playing it!

Great that it has been found though.

I'm confused, after the first pic of him holding a bass all I can see is endless posts about Doctor Who. Was time travel involved?

Excellent, it’ll be worth a bit more than the £30 it cost him now.

It's also acquired quantum properties over the years, being simultaneously here as well as in the bass forum too  :)

It's nice they've solved that one. I don't reckon that it was 'the greatest mystery in the history of rock n roll' though. I mean, it was nicked out of the back of a van. I can think of four or five more mysterious things that have happened to me since lunchtime today.

Always good to get closure methinks ... it would always niggle me if my fave guitar was lost or nicked and I never saw it again ... and I'm much famouser than Macca!

It’s a good news story. I hope Macca gigs it again once it’s been restored, like he has done with his other Hofner bass.
It’s ironic that it was in Sussex - bearing in mind where Paul lives (just outside Rye).

In an attic… that will need some work I guess.

I hadn't realised that it was stolen as late as 1972.  I'd always assumed that it was nicked in the early 60's and that's why he switched to the one with the wider spaced pickups.

Does he? Hes at his house (Rembrandt) on Wirral quite a bit. Assumed it was his UK base.

He has a studio in a converted windmill somewhere between Rye and Hastings.

"...a family living in a terraced house in Sussex contacted the team remembering they had an old bass guitar in their attic."
