Right then, all you riffers ...

All you have to do is ...
- Write a guitar riff. You can include whatever else yo want in the mix, but the main focus must be on the riff.
- Keep it to 30 seconds. This is about riffs, not songs.
- Challenge opens on the 1st of every month, and closes on the 24th of the month.
- Voting opens on the 25th of the month, and closes on the last day of the month, when the winner will be announced.
Send your tracks to riffs@theFB.co.uk

Or is it just one per month?
(Although Horse has managed some excellent recordings, I must say).
Most of the stuff I'm working on for me at the moment is funk based, which doesn't tend to lend itself to a good riff as such. If I come up with one, there is always next time, but the other night I felt like having tons of digital distortion and that riff happened, so why not
Thanks your track is uploaded and a new playlist has been created!
Come on other people start entering!
I like that riff man...very tight!
Just heard yours, doooooooom. I don't have anything that can get that "wall of sound" type of thing sadly.
I actually liked that PH...thought it was subtle and under-done. I'd like to hear that riff as part of a full song...would be pretty cool.
As for the wall of sound...its just a good way of hiding bad technique! But to be honest, 30s is a very short time for me....that riff would take up about 5 minutes of a song! (acoustic part about 2 mins, and distorted about 3mins)
It does do a nice ripping velcro sound at the lead position though
I've gone for something a bit mellower this time.
