Field recordings/samples of trains stations, crowds, rolling ocean etc.

What's Hot
Hi all,

Refugee from musicradar here. Just a quick question. anyone know if there are samples or field recordings of things like train station announcements or airport noise, etc , things like that.

Weird request, but I've found some samples online, but someone else might be able to point me in the right direction.

Sound on Sound used to have links to free spot FX and sound FX libraries, on their forum but cannot remember exactly where. Nice and easy to search though.

Creative Commons licenced stuff (just need to credit the author if you do anything). It's been invaluable for me in the past, pretty good search function there too.

  • +1 for http://www.freesound.org/. I sound the old Nokia SMS sound on there and made my smart phone play it instead of the stupid sound that Samsung chose for me.
