Hi guys

Having a clear a load of stuff out to start a fresh. Take these off my hands before I change my mind !

First up: 1962 custom shop fender strat with hound wound pups.
Wonderful guitar. Set up with 9's I believe. COA included. Really love this one but I am after one with a slightly chunkier neck. I can get exact specs of this from fender if needs be

Secondly: 1964 custom shop fender telecaster with hand wound Josephine's. Bought and sold once before ! Love this guitar. The heavy relic job on this is amazing and has so much mojo. Believe radius is 9'5. Set up with 10's. A fine example of a great telecaster.

Strat: £1750
Tele: £1650

Based in Worcestershire. Willing to travel. Happy to post. Cash - PPG - BACS all good with me.

Trades - try me.

Daughter not included. May throw her peppa pig in

That guys is a special Telecaster at a fantastic price. My Telecaster is from the same special run and was "born" only 6 days earlier.

I can add some background info; it is a "L-Series 1964 Super Heavy Relic Telecaster" and was part of a special run that was made following Fender's premier dealer 2014 Roadshow. Fender were commemorating the fact that it was 50 years since the '64 specification Tele was launched so these guitars got the special treatment! Instead of the usual R prefix serial numbers, these guitars received an "L" prefix serial number just as they had back in the sixities, plus the relicing was done to a much higher standard than normal team-built Custom Shop guitars. They all feature Josefina hand wound pickups, an alder body and fortunately get a more modern 9.5" radius. My one sounds amazing so I assume the same can be said for Rob's. I have compared it to my maple/ash '52 Tele and the rosewood/alder '64 has more mids and a slightly softer, warmer attack. For bluesy rock I prefer the '64 as it's not as harsh/ice picky and the pickups are slightly lower output than the usual broadcaster/twisted tele pickup combination most CS Tele's get. GLWS!

I don't think I would bother. I'd keep the CS. Vintage guitars are mostly money pits with mojo.

Didn't exactly give them very long on here! Your choice though. Did you do a trade-in? I wouldn't have thought you'd have got much for them if you sold them to the shop outright.

From my experience shop don't even give much for trade. They seem to go halve the value.

Come on chaps, a sale is a sale. Well done to @robt1291, he obviously didn't want to wait around here getting all the bargain hunters trying to knock him down to the last penny.

That said, I hope old Greenwood paid what you were asking, given his history of buying at market value on here and then hiking the prices up for eBay. His perogative of course but not really in the spirit of things.

Make sure you post the pre-CBS porn if/when it arrives Rob! :)
