    That could be interesting!

I like how they say it will be cheaper than the PT20.

I bet in the UK it will only be about £100 cheaper for the 20W.

Andertons didn't get the memo, they are showing the runt at £35 more than the PT...

Edit: to be fair guitar guitar have upped their PT price to over £1,600.

  • Seems there's only a simple clean on the 20w? Prob not an issue for most Friedman owners

£1899 for a 1x12 combo is still serious money. My JCM800 and FX8 together cost less than that :)

Less than a J20 by a decent margin though...although the Friedman is pcb.

    Does it have power scaling?

    Master volume.

Are you saying master volume is the power scaling, like suhr badger, or that the volume is just volume, that works well?

No, master volume is master volume, then set your gain to your sound.  Some amp are better than others though.

From my experience the Friedman Master Volume is excellent.. no power scaling need IMHO.

Master volume works well on amps where it's a good thing to drive the power section harder.

Some amps benefit more from a master volume, which let's you get preamp distortion.

Some amps benefit from both, or an attenuator. Hard to say which is best (a combo?) without trying it with a particular amp.

    Thanks for your kind words!
I'm definitely more of a player - this gear stuff is a major distraction!!

  • Exactly, don't get sucked into it all.. Play more, talk less lol. I should be Vai at this stage the amount of hours I spent but I still think buying gear will make me betterer :)
Dumb! But having said that, I will buy a Ss100 in September lol

Just checked that out - sounds great but well expensive! I actually considered getting something like a Two Rock but will start small...

These amps go up to 11...... I might have to buy one simply for that reason.
