Like I feel modulation pedals shouldn't have a tone control. Yes maybe it offers more flexibility and gives you choices to express yourself properly ... but the pedal should just be made so well to start with that it doesn't need a tone control! You barely see them on trems so why should they be all over delays, analog or digital. Analog is good for the darkness, why would we want to brighten it. Gah!
Fire away with your inane, indefensible rules below :P
(And saying you hate people who have stupid rules about guitars will get you tutted at loudly)

Stratocasters should have maple fingerboards.
(Yes I know I'll be in trouble, but they just look nicer to me and I can't hear the difference.)
That's what it says around the switch on my Les Paul so it must be true. I prefer playing rhythm than having to play everything at Treble speed anyway.
Guitars are creative instruments. You can play it however you like. You don't have to conform to an accepted style of playing and if it sounds good, it probably is good.
If every guitar player churned out the same stuff and it was a rehash and repeat of the last 50 years of guitar music then the guitar definitely will have had its day.
If other guitarists sneer at what you do, or don't think it conforms to the accepted norm, then you're definitely on the right track
Sadly, I posted these because some will see these as stupid rules.
They should only be fitted with bridge humbuckers.
